Flying Roasters is a coffee roasting company from Berlin. We have been working as a collective since 2014: we have no boss, make important decisions together and also share responsibility. rivers and clouds is a tea shop focusing on curated selection of single-estate Chinese teas.
Our name derives from Sichuan (四川 sì chuán = four rivers) and Yunnan (云南 = south of the clouds), the provinces we primarily focus on for sourcing our teas. This season, rivers and clouds focuses on highest quality Dianhong (滇红) and Yueguangbai (月光白), the black and white teas of Yunnan province.
Röststätte Berlin is an award-winning coffee roastery with two cafés in Berlin, a Barista Academy and an online shop for coffee, barista courses and coffee accessories. In 2018, Nicole Battefeld, Head Barista of Röststätte Berlin, won the title of German Barista Championships with her Espresso Paraiso. With a focus on quality from the selection of the green coffee to the result in the cup, only very high-quality 100% Arabica coffees are gently and traditionally roasted by hand in the roasting facility so that the natural aromas can fully unfold. The coffees come from natural, organic cultivation from renowned farms, cooperatives and special estates.
Slokoffie stands for finest organic highland coffee, here from the cooperative CAFICO in Corquin, the Copan region in Honduras. Our fair-trade coffee is transported across the Atlantic in a climate-neutral way by large sailer. Slokoffie is the enjoyment of speciality coffee with a clear conscience. Why do we do this? We are also concerned about protecting the climate and the environment at sea and on land, about transport that is as CO2-free as possible. Already during the unloading campaign in April 2017 in Bremen we relied on the support of freight bicycles for the transport of the 290 69kg bags Slokoffie to the coffee warehouse. The freight bicycle is today our consistent choice of the ideal means of transport to deliver our coffee to our customers, as it is now to Berlin. By bicycle parade it goes from Bremen directly into the market hall nine.
In 2015, we started producing the first no-sugar beverage consisting of cascara. After the coffee cherry has been classified as a “novel food”, we decided to move on with a portfolio products representing the next generation coffee and first launched selo green coffee, followed by our caffeinated infused water. We work with a special focus on coffee from Africa. We source those teas just from farms that we have actually visited: They are all situated in beautiful areas far away from cities and streets. Also we want to share the way tea is prepared today to bring out the best taste. aniko Coffee Roasters
We are a Third Wave Roastery based in Darmstadt, Germany with focus on quality, sustainability, transparency and traceability . We roast light to medium specialty coffees of various microlots and are in constant contact with the farmers. In the bar at our stand: our Berlin Batch, the Caturra/Catuai Natural from Finca El Orvo and a Chelelektu from Ethiopia, a natural of the varieties Kurume, Dega, Wolisho, which we buy from ally Coffee. Other coffees are available at the stand.
Our coffee roasting plant was founded in 1832 and is the oldest family-run roasting plant in the world. We now have the 6th generation at the roaster. Of course we are a bit proud of this and the long tradition is a very important part of our identity. But above all, we are also a modern and progressive roasting plant with a preference for modern coffees, a great interest in the latest findings and processes and a strong need for new impulses and ideas.
