Berlins first and only SCA certified training lab is offering a special price for their Barista Foundation Course during the Berlin Coffee Festival. The discounted price will be 350€ and at the end of the course participants will take home an official certification.
The course will be run by our certified AST trainer Tom with registrations open for up to 6 participants.

In this workshop, you will learn the key-concepts on extracting a great cup of coffee. Learn how to choose the right beans and how to grind them for espresso and filter. You will get the chance to train on a variety of brew devices as V60 and AeroPress.

We are cupping coffee!
Coffee cupping is the practice of observing the aromas and tastes of brewed coffee. It's a professional practice but can be done informally by anyone or by professionals known as "Q Graders".
From 01.10 until 05.10 we perform our Open Cupping that's free to the public. Come join us as Salem and Khalil will walk through various coffees from different origins. You'll learn the basics of the art/science of coffee cupping and get familiar with the flavor wheel.
No registration required. Coffee and spoons are provided. Just show up to get an exciting insight into the art of coffee, flavors, and learn more about your daily companion!
After the cupping we will get together for some expertise talk and explain/discuss our journey and passion for coffee.

Das Team von Theyo nimmt euch mit auf eine geschmackliche Entdeckungsreise ausgesuchter, prämierter "Bean-to-Bar" Schokoladen. Die Specialy-/Craftbewegung hält endlich auch in der Schokoladenwelt Einzug: vor allem international begeistern Manufakturen mit großartigen, innovativen Schokoladenprodukten. 

In dem Workshop bekommt ihr einen Überblick, wie Schokolade von der Bohne bis zur Tafel hergestellt wird und wie ihr das euer Geschmackserlebnis maximieren könnt. 

Es geht auf eine Verkostungstour durch zahlreiche Anbauländer und wir garantieren, dass ihr Schokalade neu entdecken und wertschätzen werdet. 

In  Zusammenarbeit mit Kaffeekirsche schließen wir das Event mit einem kleinen Schokoladen-Kaffee Pairing ab.

Specialty coffee industry and artisanal rum production might have more in common than you think.

Terroir, diversity, fermentation, independent small farms, strong long lasting relationships, local producers, unique taste profiles, … these words sound all too familiar to our “specialty coffee” ears. This is, however, the philosophy behind one of the most successful and unique rum brands in the world: Plantation Rum.

Happy Baristas invites you for a journey to exotic Caribbeans, where rum was born in the 17th century. Our guest, Isaac Renouard, the German ambassador for Plantation Rum will take us to rum producing exotic islands highlighting many similarities rum production shares with specialty coffee.
We will be able to taste test a selection of rums from Plantation’s portfolio and finish off with a different rum based coffee cocktails created for this occasion.
